- What does a project usually cost?
- It depends entirely on scope, so I quote per project rather than publishing a rate card. What I can promise is that you get a fixed price in writing before you commit to anything — no hourly billing that quietly expands. Small automation jobs are meaningfully cheaper than a full application; I'll tell you which one you actually need.
- How long do things take?
- Most of what I take on lands between three and eight weeks. Automation scripts and scrapers are usually faster; full applications with user accounts and admin panels are usually longer. I give you a timeline with the scope document, and you see working software every week rather than at the end.
- You have a full-time job. Will my project get attention?
- That's a fair question and the honest answer is that it's exactly why I only take one or two projects at a time. I'd rather turn work down than take on more than I can deliver properly. If I can't give your project the attention it needs, I'll say so up front.
- I'm not technical. Is that a problem?
- No — most of my clients aren't. You don't need to describe a solution or know what the technology should be. Describe the task the way you'd describe it to a new colleague: who does it, how often, and what goes wrong. Working out the technical part is my job.
- What happens when the project is finished?
- You get the code, it runs on your infrastructure under your accounts, and your team gets an admin panel so day-to-day changes don't need me. I include documentation and a walkthrough call. If you want me on hand afterwards we can agree that separately, but you're never locked in.
- Where are you, and does that matter?
- I'm in Kathmandu, Nepal (UTC+5:45). In practice that means full working-day overlap with europe, mornings with us east coast. All work and communication is in English, and I keep normal working hours in your timezone for calls.
